Force Ten Big Band by Farnborough Jazz held in Farnborough Social Club, in Kent October 2021

It’s the highly popular – not to be missed ‘FORCE TEN BIG BAND’ appearing here on Sunday afternoon, (2:00-5:00pm) 17th July 2022. They performed on our second opening at our new venue for us last October 2021. We really enjoyed them and promptly booked them again. We knew we would love them as we had enjoyed them many times at The Warren. This jolly lot play such a wonderful mixture of jazz styles, (obviously) Big Bands stuff, from Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Stan Kenton, plus the songs by fantastic singers, such as the fabulous Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra (my favourite male singer), Plus Tony Bennett and Dean Martin. What ever your preference of Jazz, you can make a request and if they know it, I know they will try to include it for you.

If you haven’t heard of these guys, you should give them a go.

So hope you join us – Farnborough Jazz Club at Farnborough Village  Social Club (Kent).  We will be there (ha ha)! Diane & Keith

Newsletter for last Sunday, 3rd July 2022

We were savouring lots of very happy memories, thinking of Barry last Sunday, (3jul2022) whilst we were enjoying his band playing. He would have been most proud of them, I’m sure. What a wonderful afternoon of top class jazz. It was great to see some of our old friends back again, especially after Covid. It’s lovely to see the crowds beginning to build back up, we will beat this temporary slump. The musicians need everyone to get behind them. Don’t forget, the highly popular ‘Force Ten Big Band’ – seventeen of them – will be playing for you Sunday afternoon, 17 July 2022!

The ‘Savoy Super Six’ will be back with us 16th October 2022.

Cheers – Diane & Keith
