THE PEDIGREE JAZZ BAND<\/span> (SPONSORED BY MARSTON\u2019S BREWERY)<\/span> are on tour again to present \u2018A Salute to Trad Jazz\u2019<\/span>. \u00a0Their clarinettist and band leader, CHRIS WALKER<\/span> arranges for the band to come on tour ‘down south’ every year and once again will <\/strong>appear here, FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB<\/span>, tomorrow, (Friday), 16th<\/sup> November 2018<\/span>.\u00a0 We are second on their schedule – they are at Hastings Jazz Club tonight (Thursday). \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 Chris<\/span> has booked to join him, TONY MANN<\/span> on trombone, ANDY CHISLETT<\/span> on trumpet,\u00a0JOHN NODDINGS<\/span> on banjo & guitar, KEN AMES<\/span> on double bass and playing here on drums\u00a0 for the very first time will be SY GORELICK<\/span> (pronounced G\u2019Relic). \u00a0 (See C.V.’s in ‘Page’ above). \u00a0\u00a0We hope Sy<\/span> enjoys the lovely acoustics that musicians say our Farnborough Jazz Club premises has. \u00a0Plus, a word to our Farnborough audience, let\u2019s give him a warm fun welcome please, thanks (\u2018cos I know you are going to come in your hoards!).\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The idea behind these tours is to give a little bit of history behind \u2018trad\u2019 Jazz, bringing a plethora of different numbers from the 50\u2019s and 60\u2019s. Don\u2019t forget, this band fare from Burton-on-Trent, East Staffordshire, about 180 miles (from ‘up North’)<\/strong>. \u00a0For anyone coming for the first time, we have a Shepherd Neame bar (with club prices) and we enjoy a dance or three or more.\u00a0 Also, we have plenty of free parking.\u00a0 So please come and support us and this lovely band, who will give you a wonderful evening\u2019s entertainment.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
