Another Friday is fast approaching (FRIDAY, 10th<\/sup> AUGUST 2018<\/span>) and you are wanting to know who we have booked for you at <\/span><\/strong>FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB<\/strong><\/span>, yes? \u00a0Great news, it\u2019s the marvellous <\/strong>\u2018MARDI GRAS JAZZBAND\u2019<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 Keith and I love them, because they are always full of fun (well they\u2019re not called the Mardi Gras for nothing).\u00a0 They play a mixture of jazz for all preferences.\u00a0 I said last time, band leader (trombonist)\u00a0<\/strong>ROB PEARCE<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span> is a frequent visitor of New Orleans, really \u2018living\u2019 his jazz.\u00a0 Rob again, is joined by\u00a0<\/strong>LEIGH HENSON<\/strong><\/span> (trumpet), plus <\/strong>JOHN ELLMER<\/strong><\/span> (reeds by the dozen), <\/strong>JOHN STEWART<\/strong><\/span> (banjo & guitar), <\/strong>STEVE SMITH<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(bass) and <\/strong>PAUL BAKER<\/strong><\/span> (drums).\u00a0 Come on over to Farnborough Village.\u00a0 We are in the Sports Club and will be enjoying ourselves with a pint, or two (etc) of Shepherd Neame\u2019s brew.\u00a0 We have a great atmosphere here, have a free carpark.\u00a0 So, don\u2019t be shy, come and listen and for still only \u00a310, see how we keep young here.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
