\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>I just love it when <\/strong>TONY PITT\u2019S ALL STARS<\/strong><\/span> come to <\/strong>play for us and they are here tonight, <\/strong>FRIDAY,<\/strong> 18th<\/sup> May 2018<\/strong>, at <\/strong>FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB<\/strong><\/span> (Kent).\u00a0 <\/strong>TONY<\/strong> <\/span>(banjoist) always brings nothing but the best with him.\u00a0 Judge for yourself, how\u2019s this for a brilliant star-spangled bunch of musicians!\u00a0 <\/strong>ALAN GRESTY<\/strong><\/span> on\u00a0trumpet &vocals, <\/strong>AL NICHOLLS<\/strong> <\/span>on soprano &tenor sax, <\/strong>GRAHAM HUGHES<\/strong> <\/span>on trombone &vocals (hope he brings his harmonica too), <\/strong>ANDY LAURENCE<\/strong><\/span> on double bass and <\/strong>CHRIS NICHOLS<\/strong> <\/span>on drums.\u00a0 I think this is the first time for <\/strong>Chris<\/strong><\/span>, so come along with your huge <\/strong>Farnborough welcoming mat<\/strong> to make him feel at home and if you haven\u2019t been to our jazz club before, then <\/strong>Chris<\/strong><\/span> will make you feel at home.\u00a0 I am late again with this newsletter, but must mention last night!\u00a0 We were invited to Jacquie and David\u2019s new and highly successful \u2018Foot Tappers Jazz Club’ at Seasons Restaurant, Knights Garden Centre, Chelsham, Surrey.\u00a0 They had JJ (Jonathan Vinten Trio) with Bobby Worth and Stevie Thompson, who were superb as expected.\u00a0 Their guest star was that magical singer, Sara Dowling.\u00a0 Oh what a knockout she is.\u00a0 I hate her \u2026. Seriously, she is a delight.\u00a0 She is a lovely looking young lady with a mind-blowing jazz voice.\u00a0 Spit, spit, spit!\u00a0 Keep your eye out for her \u2026 she is going places.\u00a0 Well done Jacquie and David.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P.S.\u00a0 Just a little<\/u> brag for Tony, not that he needs it \u2013\u00a0 but just to let you know that tomorrow, he is playing at Windsor!!\u00a0 He will be playing in the King Edward Centre with the Silk Street Trio.\u00a0 He hasn\u2019t a clue how he is going to manage to get there.\u00a0 Obviously, they won\u2019t be able to go by car with traffic.\u00a0 Anyway, we must let him leave promptly – no screaming for \u2018more\u2019!\u00a0 He will need to leave early tomorrow morning (and I dont mean from us!) –\u00a0 Keith said isn’t it nice to play for royalty two days running! Enjoy it Tony.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
