DAVE RANCE\u2019S ROCKIN\u2019 CHAIR BAND<\/strong> <\/span>is our band booked for tonight at FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong> That being Friday, 6th April 2018, from 8:00pm till 11:00pm<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 Band leader, DAVE RANCE<\/strong> <\/span>(trumpet & vocals) has booked JOHN AUST<\/strong><\/span> (clarinet), GORDON RUSHTON<\/strong> <\/span>(trombonist), with\u00a0COLIN FREE<\/strong> <\/span>(double bass), DOUG PARRY<\/strong> <\/span>(banjo & guitar) and HENRY HARRISON<\/strong> <\/span>(drums).\u00a0 They fare from Leighton Buzzard and have travelled here a few times over the years.\u00a0 Their last time was in February 2017, so it would be nice of you all to give them a big welcome back.\u00a0 We have a lovely atmosphere here, so anyone new will always feel at home.\u00a0 Of course, we have plenty of parking space and a (club prices) Shepherd Neame bar to help.<\/span><\/p>\n

So come and join your hosts<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You may remember last time they were with us, they had DEREK SCOFIELD<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 He had a cataract operation a week, or so ago, so not here tonight,\u00a0 We are wishing him well soon, but please, a warm welcome to JOHN AUST<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0Colin played alto, tenor and bass saxes plus piccolo & vocals, and memorably, you may recall, did a little bit of tap dancing too – here is a photo of him.\u00a0 I will eventually upload the rest in due course.\u00a0 Also, you will notice GRAHAM WISEMAN <\/strong><\/span>was playing trombone with the band in 2016.\u00a0 Graham played here often.\u00a0 Remembering him tonight – although a warm welcome to\u00a0GORDON RUSHTON<\/strong> too.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
