We really are thrilled to have\u00a0TONY PITT\u2019S ALL STARS<\/strong> <\/span>play for us again, because the musicians Tony gets truly are \u2018stars\u2019 in their own right.\u00a0 They return this FRIDAY, 1<\/strong>st<\/sup> December 2017<\/strong> <\/span>at our happy FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB (Kent)<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> I can\u2019t believe we are already reaching December \u2013 when did our \u2018summer\u2019 happen?\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0TONY<\/strong> <\/span>(banjoist) will have with him this time\u00a0 PETE RUDEFORTH<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(trumpet&vocals), DAVE HEWITT<\/strong> <\/span>(trombone) and AL NICHOLLS<\/strong> <\/span>(soprano & tenor sax) and JOHN\u00a0TYSON<\/strong> <\/span>(drums). \u00a0<\/strong>Plus we have\u00a0<\/strong>JOHN DAY<\/strong> <\/span>(double bass) who, like Tony and Pete, has played in the\u00a0Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk and Chris Barber Bands (Tony also played in The Alex Welsh Band). \u00a0Tony was here just five weeks ago with a few different stars and what an evening we had then (as he says \u2013 hot foot tapping traditional jazz and as I say \u2018at its best\u2019 to listen to, or dance to). \u00a0I told you they were all top notch guys and to get here early, because we would expect a great turnout.\u00a0 You did and even with several regulars missing (due to illnesses and late holidays etc.), we still had a fabulous turnout winning evening.\u00a0 Obviously, with many regulars back, we\u2019ll surely have a mind-blowingly exciting evening again – so come on one and all, join us again \u2013 enjoy \u2026.<\/h6>\n

P.S. So sorry I was absent last Friday, without a letter from my mum too.\u00a0 I know, I always insist one from all of you, but I couldn\u2019t find a pen before rushing off to my brother in A&E.\u00a0 Keith had a hard evening, coping with many problems.\u00a0 But cope, he did and was grateful for those of you who helped \u2013 thanks everyone. \u00a0By the by, thanks to the Premier Inn, off M1\u2019s J9 (next to Harvester) who were so kind to my sister and to me.\u00a0 If you need to stop anwhere in that area, use them.\u00a0 The staff were all wonderful, every one of them.<\/p>\n

P.P.S. \u00a0Also<\/strong>, thanks for not forget our <\/strong>smooth Dinner Jazz<\/strong> gig last Sunday<\/strong> (\u20184-IN-A-BAR+1\u2019<\/strong> at YE OLDE WHYTE LYON, LOCKS BOTTOM, Kent)<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 It was packed out and it sounds like I wasn\u2019t missed at all, well, apart from driving Keith home, ha ha.\u00a0 Reminder on that one, we will be back Christmas Eve 3-6pm<\/strong>, for a Special (still free too). <\/strong>\u00a0 I\u2019ll try harder to learn my words \u2026. hmm.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>This Sunday\u00a0is instead of New Year’s Eve day Sunday, which is the last\u00a0one in\u00a0December.<\/p>\n
