We\u00a0are going to\u00a0have a lovely little evening here at <\/strong>FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB (Kent<\/strong>)<\/strong><\/span> with the <\/strong>MAHOGANY HALL STOMPERS<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span> being so used to playing for us. They are back this coming<\/strong> Friday 23rd<\/sup> June 2017<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> Band leader BRIAN GILES<\/strong> <\/span>(cornet) has booked\u00a0JOHN ELLMER\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>on ALL THE reeds, COLIN GRAHAM<\/strong> <\/span>on trombone, plus \u2018SOUTHEND BOB\u2019 ALBUTT<\/strong> <\/span>on banjo and vocals (Bob has such a rich baritone voice).\u00a0 He also has CHRIS MARCHANT<\/strong> <\/span>on drums and ROGER CURPHEY<\/strong> <\/span>double bass.\u00a0 All are welcome here.\u00a0 We have a Shepherd Neame<\/strong> <\/span>club bar, with club\u00a0prices \u2013 come and try their new Spitfire lager.\u00a0 There\u2019s plenty of free parking, so no reason to stay at home.<\/p>\n

Especially with Keith and moi (Diane) hosting your evening<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nothing like \u2018live\u2019 music.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

P.S.\u00a0 By the way, don\u2019t forget, we are back at Ye Olde Whyte Lyon, Locks Bottom, Kent<\/span>, (next to Princess Royal\u00a0 University Hospital) this coming Sunday afternoon (25th June 2017) 3:00 till 6:00pm<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong> Our band,<\/span>\u20184-in-a-bar+1\u2019<\/strong><\/span>, plays smooth jazz, with our KEITH<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(GRANT)<\/span> on drums, JOHN LEE<\/span> on tenor sax, DAVE BARNES <\/span><\/span>on piano, TIM PHAROAH <\/span>on doublss and I (DIANE)<\/span>\u00a0sing\u00a0a few songs.\u00a0 I think my nerves are improving and I hope I am sounding better, so please come along and enjoy the ambience of this sixteenth century pub.\u00a0 Why not book a Sunday lunch on 01689-852631\u00a0(their lovely new chef is great) –\u00a0food is between 12.30pm-5:30pm.\u00a0 The Sainsbury’s Superstore car park behind the pub is free on Sundays. <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
