We have a great band for you – the NEW<\/strong> ORLEANS Z\u2019HULUS from Belgium<\/strong> <\/span>playing for us tomorrow night, Friday, 16th June 2017<\/strong>.<\/strong> <\/span>Their last appearance here at FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB (Kent)<\/strong><\/span> was two years ago, so make the most of this visit, because we may have to wait a long time again for their next visit.\u00a0 <\/strong>As you can see and as I said last time, this band has a wonderful International flavor, (a couple of changes from last time).\u00a0 We have trumpeter DAN VERCRUYSSE<\/strong><\/span>, who is from BELGIUM<\/strong>.\u00a0 Then there\u2019s trombonist PHILIPPE DeSMET<\/strong>,<\/span> who also fares from BELGIUM<\/strong>.\u00a0 Plus clarinettist BOSS QUEROD<\/strong><\/span>, who<\/strong> is from FRANCE<\/strong>. \u00a0Then we have three English musicians.\u00a0 First of all, a great treat for you, banjoist, PAUL SEALEY (10yrs with Chris Barber\u2019s Band<\/span>)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Second, there’s leader of the band, BRIAN TURNOCK<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 Brian\u00a0lives between U.K.<\/strong> and Belgium<\/strong> and plays double bass. Brian has recorded with many ‘greats’ such as George Lewis and Lil\u00a0Armstrong,\u00a0 Plus third, of course you all know drummer EMILE MARTYN<\/strong>,<\/span> who lives between U.K.<\/strong> and U.S.A<\/strong>, (frequently visiting his Dad, famous band leader Barry Martyn – now living in New Orleans).\u00a0 I am really looking forward to having this band back again at Farnborough.\u00a0 We are so lucky to have such talent here, don\u2019t you think.<\/p>\n
