Brilliant \u2013 the guys in the \u2019MARDI GRAS JAZZBAND\u2019<\/strong><\/span> have agreed to play for us again here at\u00a0FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB (Kent)<\/strong> on<\/span> Friday, 12<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> May 2017<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Keith and I always enjoy them because they really make the evening swing.\u00a0 Trombonist &\u00a0band leader ROB PEARCE<\/strong><\/span>, <\/strong>will have with him vocalist\u00a0LEIGH HENSON<\/strong>,<\/span> on trumpet, JOHN ELLMER<\/strong> <\/span>on reeds, JAMIE PARSONS<\/strong> <\/span>on piano, DAVE MOSES<\/strong> <\/span>on double bass and\u00a0not forgetting PAUL BAKER<\/strong> <\/span>on drums, now how\u2019s that for a great line-up.\u00a0 So see you all for an 8:00pm start.<\/p>\n

Before I close, I just want to tell you of the wonderful party a lot of us went to yesterday (Tuesday) to celebrate Brian \u2018The Hat\u2019 Stout\u2019s life.\u00a0 What a party it was too! \u00a0I\u2019m sure Brian would have been thrilled to know (that as he requested) Rima and his lovely family arrange and made sure it was such a great \u2018do\u2019.\u00a0 There were so many of his friends from the cycling clubs and the various jazz clubs too, joining in the celebration \u2013 we all really enjoyed ourselves, with many hats being worn.\u00a0 Now we know we have a dancer where he\u2019s gone to \u2013 and if there\u2019s no cycling, I\u2019m sure he will quickly arrange for that too aye.<\/p>\n
