\u2018BILL PHELAN\u2019S\u00a0MUSKRAT RAMBLERS\u2019<\/b><\/span> will be with us at <\/span>FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB<\/span><\/b><\/span> tonight, <\/span>Friday, 21<\/span><\/strong>st<\/span><\/sup><\/strong> April 2017<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>Band leader, BILL <\/strong><\/span><\/span>(trumpet & flugabone) will have with him\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>ALAN CRESSWELL<\/span> (<\/span><\/strong><\/b>clarinet),\u00a0 <\/span>JOHN FINCH<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/span>(trombone), <\/span>ANDY LAWRENCE<\/span> <\/span><\/strong>(<\/span><\/strong>double bass),\u00a0 JOHNNY McCALLUM\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(banjo & guitar) and PAUL NORMAN <\/strong>(<\/span><\/span><\/span>drums).\u00a0 Oh, I w<\/span>ill be back hopefully later to tell you more, but Keith has just popped his head round the door to say car is not working and I have a\u00a0school run today –\u00a0before ‘running’ the club tonight, so need a car desperately today!!!!!!!!!!!\u00a0 Back again and will leave the last\u00a0sentence on, because the reason for a ‘dead car’ was I had left lights on last night!!!\u00a0 My saviour was purchasing a great ‘Power Pack’ from Halfords a while back and am extremely\u00a0\u00a0grateful today that\u00a0I did.\u00a0 So go and treat yourselves, buy one – you never know when you are going to need one.\u00a0 Now about our Muskrat’s, well if you read my newsletter about the\u00a0last time they played for us, you will get the gist of how much fun they have, ensuring audiences have fun too.\u00a0 I just re-read it and thought I had better fill you all in (especially his wife) about Andy and my (innocent)\u00a0‘private\u00a0country joke’, it\u00a0conjures \u00a0pretty naughty thoughts.\u00a0 I was going to dear ol’ Dipper’s funeral and was unable to find the crematorium (in Leatherhead, Surrey).\u00a0 I had been\u00a0going round and round in circles, so stopped a chap, walking his dog, to ask the way.\u00a0 After he gave directions, we\u00a0both suddenly realized we knew one-another, but when you meet someone out of context, well –\u00a0yes,\u00a0you’ve guessed, it was Andy – in his dog walking country gear ha ha\u00a0– he thought he looked smart too.\u00a0 Seriously, he did look lovely\u00a0in his smart country-gent gear.\u00a0 See you all tonight.<\/p>\n
