<\/a>Bill Todd, Paul Higgs & Charles Sherwood enjoy playing with Phoenix Dixieland Jazz Band at Farnborough Jazz Club on 11 March 2016. <\/span>Photo by Mike Witt<\/span>.<\/p><\/div>\n It\u2019s our Christmas party-time already, here <\/strong>at the FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB this Friday 23rd<\/sup> December 2016<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The PHOENIX DIXIELAND JAZZ BAND<\/strong> <\/span>will be supplying the music for us.\u00a0 Those super guys in the band will be\u00a0<\/strong>PAUL HIGGS<\/strong> <\/span>on trumpet, CHARLES SHERWOOD<\/span> <\/strong>on clarinet and\u00a0BILL TODD<\/strong> <\/span>on trombone &vocals, plus\u00a0ALAN CLARKE<\/strong> <\/span>on drums.\u00a0 Then there’s\u00a0<\/strong>DAVE BARNES<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>on piano & vocals,\u00a0with ROGER CURPHEY<\/strong> <\/span>on double bass,\u00a0plus\u00a0JOHN STEWART<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>on banjo& guitar.\u00a0 Everyone is welcome and you don\u2019t have to be a member.\u00a0 Just bring a great big smile with you and a feeling of good cheer to join in the fun.\u00a0 We will be having a fancy dress evening with no particular theme (although optional of course), a brolly parade and lots of raffle prizes too. The entrance fee is \u00a315.\u00a0 You can bring your own food – and candelabras if you wish.\u00a0 Come and join us to some wonderful \u2018live\u2019 music.<\/p>\n It will be our last jazz evening of the year, not returning until my birthday celebration on 13th January 2017.\u00a0 So Keith and I want to thank all the bands who have supported our jazz club over the years.\u00a0 Also, our lovely bar staff AND to\u00a0audiences\u00a0who maintain the lovely atmosphere we have.
