Photo by Mike Witt.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They started &#8216;right in&#8217; with that happy jaunty tune, <em>\u2018Algiers Strut\u2019<\/em>.\u00a0 Welcome back boys.\u00a0 They followed on with a super Duke Ellington number, <em>\u2018Saratoga Swing\u2019<\/em>, with some wonderful solos played by everyone.\u00a0 Dave remarked we had cheated doing our line-dance to the next one.\u00a0 He had already stated that\u00a0as we are getting older (what?), he doubted we would be able to dance to it \u2013 or if even the band could play it, but we all coped well (band too, ha) with <em>\u2018Isle of Capri\u2019,<\/em> made famous by Ken Colyer.\u00a0 I have to say, us line-dancers were breathing fast on returning to our seats (who said that!!!!!!)\u00a0 Now I have another beautiful voice to mention, this being Iain\u2019s.\u00a0 He sang one of Fats Waller\u2019s numbers, <em>\u2018Everybody Loves My Baby\u2019 <\/em>and what a super job he made of it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3355\" style=\"width: 204px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Sussex-Jazz-Kings-29apr2016-20.28_2315.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3355\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3355\" class=\" wp-image-3355\" src=\"https:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Sussex-Jazz-Kings-29apr2016-20.28_2315-154x300.jpg\" alt=\"Iain MCaulay plays trombone with Sussex Jazz Kings at Farnborough Jazz Club (Kent) on 29th April 2016.
