Photo by Mike Witt<\/span>.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u2018Help Me Make It Through The Night<\/em>\u2019 is a beautiful song of Kris Kristofferson\u2019s, sung by Ben and although not exactly jazz, was so good, it was definitely worth a mention, one to be entertained with.\u00a0 Ben certainly has one hell of a voice and everyone loved it.\u00a0 My next one is <em>\u2018Summertime\u2019<\/em> (from Porgy &amp; Bess), played with a difference.\u00a0 They gave it a cha-cha-ch\u00e1 tempo.\u00a0 Steve and I made an attempt to dance it.\u00a0 We both knew how to, though a bit rusty, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.\u00a0 The next one to follow, they have played before, but this time, sung by Finlay (another great jazzy voice), namely <em>\u2018Shake That Thing\u2019<\/em>.\u00a0 Of course they again as before, enticed everyone onto the dance floor.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3243\" style=\"width: 373px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Martyn-Bros-15apr2015_2286.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3243\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3243\" class=\" wp-image-3243\" src=\"https:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Martyn-Bros-15apr2015_2286-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Ian Beetlestone features on piano, Dominique Coles (drums) with Martyn Brothers at Farnborough Jazz Club (Kent) on 15th April 2016. Photo by Mike Witt<\/span>.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following number, joined by George, was a feature of Ian\u2019s on piano.\u00a0 Such a lovely number, played and sung with such sensitivity, the tune <em>\u2018Miss Otis Regrets\u2019<\/em>.\u00a0 I have always loved Ella\u2019s rendition.\u00a0 Fabulous Ian.\u00a0 Their next choice was sung by George, <em>\u2018The Sheik From Araby\u2019<\/em> a Preservation Hall Jazz Band number.\u00a0 It was the one we did our line-dance to.
