The GOLDEN EAGLE JAZZ BAND<\/strong><\/span>\u2019s leader KEVIN SCOTT <\/strong><\/span>(tenor banjo) I’m told, played brilliantly for us on Friday, 17th<\/span><\/sup> July 2015<\/strong><\/span> at FARNBOROUGH JAZZ CLUB (Kent),\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>Playing with him were MIKE SCROXTON<\/strong><\/span> on trumpet, ALAN CRESSWELL <\/strong><\/span>on clarinet, ROY STOKES<\/strong><\/span> on trombone & vocals, MIKE BROAD<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0on double bass and PETE JACKMAN<\/span><\/b> on drums.\u00a0 We always have a laugh with Kevin and the boys, so I was so disappointed to have missed the fun.\u00a0 I cannot recall ever missing an evening before, although I must have done, but it would have been years ago.\u00a0 Keith returned home with all the details of the fun I had missed, some great trad\u2019 jazz to be sure.\u00a0 I cannot\u00a0tell you\u00a0anything they played, but at least I can publish the photos kindly taken by Mike (thanks Mike).\u00a0 One of them was numbered 007, that one happened to be of John and Len\u00a0with our raffle draw (Keith said they were a laugh on the ‘mike’), so must now call them both a \u2018James Bond\u2019 \u2013 ha.\u00a0 Enjoy the photos.<\/p>\n
