{"id":20,"date":"2013-08-27T23:33:09","date_gmt":"2013-08-27T23:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2022-08-07T07:48:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-07T07:48:44","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/farnboroughjazz.co.uk\/?page_id=20","title":{"rendered":"About b) Club&#8217;s Location"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">In 2021, after twenty-seven<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">very happy years at the Farnborough Sports Club, (+6years at Badgers Mount Hotel) our Jazz (which was held <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">every Friday evening), <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">has now moved next door to the FARNBOROUGH SOCIAL CLUB.\u00a0 We also changed to hold the jazz once a month on a Sunday afternoon.\u00a0 And after four months, in 2022, &#8211; we now hold it twice a month (every first and third Sunday), opening at 1:00pm, with music held from 2:00-5:00pm.\u00a0 We began with &#8216;MICK COLLINS LEGACY JAZZ ORCHESTRA&#8217;, (16pce), on\u00a0 SEPTEMBER 2021, followed with &#8216;FORCE TEN BIG BAND,\u00a0 (17pce).\u00a0 Unfortunately, we all had problems with the petrol situation, so few could get here, but we still had a wonderful atmosphere.\u00a0 We will be presenting bands of all types and sizes, with the thought of encouraging all ages.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Entrance: \u00a310.\u00a0 Bar (club prices), plus large free car park.<strong style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\"> Located in the Farnborough SOCIAL Club, Farrow Field, (lane next to The Woodman Pub &#8211; and club to your RIGHT), High Street, Farnborough, Kent BR6 7BA, <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\">England.<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\">Why not come early, pop into the Woodman Pub first, for a a lovely roast meal to enjoy a country afternoon (phone first, to check they are free, (so not to be disappointed (01689-852663).<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\">We had a wonderful 25years with the Football Club and parted with mutual reasons. Just before <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>The Woodman<\/strong><\/em><\/span><strong> (on left) turn left into Farrow Fields. <\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Farnborough Social Club<\/span> is on right.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>From London<\/strong><\/span><strong>: Follow A21 to Bromley, Locks Bottom, <strong>watch out for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Princess Royal Hospital<\/span> on left<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>At the next lights bear right onto the B2158 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(signposted Farnborough village). <\/span>\u00a0Look out for <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>The Woodman<\/strong><\/em><\/span><strong> on your right, immediately after, turn right into Farrow Fields. <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Farnborough Social Club is on right<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BY BUS <\/span><\/strong><\/span><strong>The club is served by the <\/strong><strong>358 bus<\/strong><strong> which runs between Crystal Palace and Orpington via Bromley.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0The <\/strong><strong>R4 <\/strong><strong>runs along Farnborough Way, leaving a 5 minute walk to the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BY TRAIN <\/span><\/strong><\/span><strong>The closest railway stations are <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Orpington<\/strong><\/span><strong> (slightly nearer) and <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Bromley South<\/strong><\/span><strong>. From either, take <\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>358<\/strong><\/span><strong> bus to the club (approx journey time: 25 minutes).
